Why do I always put myself into this
situation?!?! I should be a veteran of this. I mean, we’ve been playing
this game for eight friggin years and I always end up on the losing
side. Round 1. Hi Hello. Oist. Psst or anything that resembles
recognition that I still exist.. Round 2. I respond. There’s a
semi-conversation that translates to a one-two punch question and
answer statement from both sides. i.e. Musta?? (kapow) Ok lng, kaw?
(pow) Ok naman(kaplang). Ting ting ting!! Third and Final Round After I
ask anything that is not a YES or NO question, I receive a
“goodbye,sige later na lang” statement. I can see the referee’s hand signal.
Winner by knockout. Guess who.

~ I have a new job in PCE (Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship). I start on Monday so expect less frequent blog entries by then. I’ll be working with my thesis partner, Kay and I’ll be helping out in maintaining their website among other things.

~ I’ve decided not to move to Boni because I never really found a decent house that’s walking distance from my office (RFM Bldg). I’ll still be staying in Santillan St., Makati City. I realized a clean bathroom/bedspace is more important to me than work-home distance. I’m still scouting for places near Boni though and would greatly appreciate your referrals.

~ It’s my last day here in Iwebmasters (sniff..sniff). Starting next week I would have to restrain myself from using certain words/phrases/sentences/pun that may not be acceptable in general public situations. Iwebdate angels…ya know what I mean.  I will definitely miss the inside jokes and early morning videoclip marathons. Hit me up baby.

~  French classes are harder than I thought. Very fast pace and my prof barely says a word in English. I mean, Span and Italian sure I sort of get what they’re saying but French, whole different level dude. Still, I am challenged and look forward to our next class. No cute classmates though. (sigh)

~ My phone is broken. Something’s wrong with my display screen so I can barely send sms or take calls. Please bear with me.

~ I’m still thin, single and eating everything I can get my hands on.

malakas mag-inom at ayoko talaga ng lasa ng beer (except redhorse)
at hard (except vodka ice). pero nalulungkot pa rin ako kasi nga
hindi ako makasama sa kahit isa sa kanila…eto ang mga kailangan ko
munang gawin:

-asikasuhin ang clearance para makuha ang final pay.

-humanap ng bahay sa boni (walking distance or 1 ride away from
RFM bldg, likod ng GT Tower). please please please baka may kakilala
kayo na may alam paki-refer naman po sa akin. budget - P2500 dapat
kasama na tubig at kuryente dun. kelangan ko lang malinis at may ref.
sana rin pwede magluto.

-ibudget ang natitirang pera para sa mga gagastusin. kasi nga
konti pa lang ang savings ko eh sa malamang kelangan ko maglabas ng
pera para sa x months deposit at x months advance. isama na rin natin
ang araw-araw na panggastos habang hindi ko pa nakukuha yung final
pay ko.

-maghalungkat ng damit dahil ngayon lang ako magkakatrabaho na
merong "dress code". pwede naman mag-jeans paminsan-minsan
pero kalimitan may meeting kaya kelangan naka-ayos ka. ayokong bumili
ng damit pero kelangan ko talaga ng maayos na puti/beige na sapatos
pamasok.

lahat ito kelangan ko maayos bago dumating ang sabado dahil
makikiusap pa ko sa mga magulang ko na tulungan akong maghakot ng
gamit. kung minsan ayoko ng magpaka-mature. gusto kong ibalik ang
"kebs" mode…bahala na si batman. kalimutan na ang mga
kelangang gawin at magpakalasheng na lang. karamihan naman sa mga
kakilala ko nakakaraos sa ganung klase ng pamumuhay, yung hindi
inaalala yung bukas..basta ang  importante masaya sila ngayon.
pero bakit ako kahit plano nang plano d pa rin maayus-ayos ang mga gusot
sa buhay ko?!

Woke up at around 4am. I only had four hours of sleep since I watched the Spanish Film Tapas last night. This simbang-gabi shift (6am-2pm) is really starting to bug me, thank God it’ll be over in two weeks & I’ll have a regular day job again. I packed one can of Tuna mechado since I was really broke. Jeep-mrt-walk = office.  Renzy was absent so it was just me and Gil on our shift. Ate breakfast which consisted of tuna, fried rice and apple flavored iced tea. Gil and I reminisced about our UP days and how it taught us to survive when you run out of money. Monay and aristocart galore. It was freezing cold in our work area so I had to go to the pantry where there’s no AC..I snoozed off. Hehe. Woke up 15mins later and had lunch. Again, tuna, plain rice this time, apple flavored iced tea and butter coconut crackers for dessert. This was when I decided I had enough tuna for today. Left around 4pm since I had a girl-chat with Myra,Kay and Tin. Whoa. That’s all I’m gonna say. Walked all the way to Shang and did a double-take when I saw a poster of the German FilmFest. They had a screening at 5pm and the tickets were only P50! Yay! Saw the film The Other Final which was a story about the football match between the two lowest ranking teams in FIFA, Bhutan and Montserrat. I was deeply moved by the film even if I wasn’t a sports fanatic. It was filmed docu style so I was beginning to wonder if this story actually happened. Got out at around 6:30 pm and rushed (as in people bumping/pushing/shoving) to Greenbelt3 to catch the screening of Elsa Y Fred. Barely had time to buy a Yumburger meal for dinner. The film was about teenage love told in a story of an old couple. The entire audience was roaring with laughter. I really love Spanish/Latin humor, they make you laugh in the most unexpected scenes. Went home around 9:30 with a slightly full stomache and a full grin in my face. Two things I realized today: 1. I can splurge on things other than food and books like good foreign films. 2. I can enjoy an entire day with…..ME.

so i miss being stressed out. sue me. i miss the never-ending deadlines, a piled up to-do list and a solid 8-10hour workload. though im not the OC type who has a "keen eye for details", i do have the  passion to accomplish things in the most efficient manner. people have seen me lose sleep, weight and sometimes even sanity over work. oftentimes i become too engrossed on what i am doing that i tend to take more than i can handle. thus the breakdown. and i haven’t experienced that for quite some time now. though my body is getting comfortable with a less-stressful lifestyle, my mind simply isn’t. there’s always this constant craving for a complex problem solved, a nerve-racking project launched or even a task that needs (gasp) overtime work. oh i know i’ll eat the words i just typed during the next couple of weeks but the workaholic beast in me seems to have re-awakened. yikes.
